I’m a reasonably smart person, but it took me a long time to figure out books were written by actual people. Once I figured that out, I started chasing the publication dream myself and sold my first piece to a national food magazine. After writing about food for several years, I switched to writing fiction, sold a handful of stories to pulp confession magazines, and published three novellas with a small e-press. I’m now working hard on my novel-writing chops.
When I’m not writing, I like to read, knit, cook tasty plants, binge on podcasts, make cocktails, and run without being chased.
